Maharashtra, Deccan and Bengal.

Action:
Plant—used in fever, dyspepsia, skin allergy, asthma, bronchitis.
Leaves—astringent, antiseptic, astringent. Applied to insect bites. Lotions are used for smallpox. Leaf juice is given in diarrhoea, dysentery, lithiasis.
